Elite well established company providing integrated design, engineering, and construction services for multifamily, hospitality, commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

Based in Miami, Florida.

Base Salary, $150K and DOE levels. 

Must have FL P.E. Lis. and at least 10 years experience in Structural Engineering with a Bachelors in Structural Engineering. Civil Engineering may be acceptable if work is Structural Engineering. 

Position Overview
The Vice President of Structural Engineering will lead our structural engineering department, providing strategic direction and oversight for all structural projects. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of engineering operations while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the structural engineering team (10), ensuring effective project delivery and adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee the design and engineering processes for residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on structural solutions, fostering strong relationships.
  • Coordinate and integrate project management tasks, ensuring efficient collaboration among design disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, cost reductions, and financial performance to drive profitability and operational efficiencies.
  • Supervise construction sites to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and effective communication with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review offers for new projects, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with company goals.
  • Utilize engineering software tools such as ETABS, SAP 200, RAM Concept, Revit, and AutoCAD for structural analysis and design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Candidate must have Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and structural design methods.
  • Experience in project management and client engagement, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as ETABS, SAP 200, RAM Concept, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and optimize processes for efficiency.
