Job Overview:
As a Commercial Glazing Superintendent, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day field operations of commercial glazing projects. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are met, while fostering a collaborative environment between crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Direct all on-site activities for glazing installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Team Management: Supervise and lead field crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Schedule Coordination: Develop and maintain daily and weekly schedules, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with company standards, blueprints, and specifications.
Safety Leadership: Enforce safety protocols, conduct job site safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
Problem Solving: Identify and address on-site challenges, including material or personnel issues, to keep projects moving forward.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary on-site liaison between project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in commercial glazing or construction
Strong knowledge of glazing systems, installation techniques, and related materials.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and basic computer skills.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus in a dynamic work environment.
