Position Overview:The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical controls and systems, as well as developing and documenting processes necessary for the automated operation of machinery and equipment. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical diagrams, design, root cause analysis, automation, monitoring systems, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment.Key Responsibilities: Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical controls and systems. Develop and document processes necessary for the automated operation of machinery and equipment. Read and understand electrical diagrams, design, root cause analysis, automation, monitoring systems, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment. Place electrical components, motors, and controls to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Develop wiring diagrams, lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures, and field device specifications. Utilize a wide range of software for design, automation, and control including, but not limited to, Allen-Bradley, PLC, HMI, Robotics, Fanuc, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Control System Design, Control Schematics, Electrical Schematics, and CAD/Power & Motors/Electrical/Fluid Dynamics.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Automation, or related field. 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design, electromechanical, and/or controls engineering. Proficiency in Allen Bradley, Modicon, Beckhoff, Siemens, Factory Talk, RS View, WinCC, Wonderware, ABB, Motoman, Robots, AutoCAD electrical, Inventor, SolidWorks, and Solid Edge. Knowledge of control system design, control schematics, electrical schematics, and CAD/Power & Motors/Electrical/Fluid Dynamics. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, design, root cause analysis, automation, monitoring systems, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
