Title: Workers' Compensation Attorney

Location: Chicago, IL

Compensation: $90K-$150K (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Workers' Compensation Attorney to represent individuals in claims related to workplace injuries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations, and be committed to advocating for the rights of injured workers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation hearings and negotiations
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents related to cases
  • Gather and analyze evidence to support clients' claims
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on their rights and options
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
  • Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations
  • Prepare clients for depositions and court appearances
  • Build strong relationships with clients and maintain clear communication throughout the legal process

Qualifications

  • 1+ year plaintiff workers' compensation experience
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Bar Admission in Illinois
  • Portable business is a huge plus
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Commitment to client service and the ability to empathize with clients' situations
