We are experience tremendous growth with about 40 prime on-call contracts with various public sector clients. As such we are seeking a Land Survey Director to join us and build/grow our surveying team!

Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Maryland (or ability to apply for reciprocity)
8+ years of experience in land and topographic surveying
Survey experience in Maryland required
Experience with crew management and oversight
Ability to manage/direct field crews
Ability to prepare proposals and manage survey projects
Ability to perform in a marketing/business development role
Bachelors degree in construction or related preferred
Ability to analyze and process boundary and ALTA surveys and prepare legal descriptions
Proficiency with RTK GPS and Robotic Total Stations
Proficiency with MicroStation

This role will be considered part of the executive leadership team and work closely with other Discipline leads and will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Hire, train, and retain 2-person survey teams, including party chief and technicians
Manage and quality control the day-to-day operation of the survey fieldwork and office work.
Supervise CADD technicians for the topographic survey, utility designation, and right-of-way plats.
Coordinate with Engineering Project Managers regarding project scope, schedule, and budget.
Provide management and oversight to our Land Surveying Division.
Manage and schedule all survey field crews.
Lead proposal and contract preparation and review.
Performance of ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary determination and computation, construction stakeout, topographic and hydro surveys, metes and bounds descriptions.
Business development, project management, quality, staffing, personnel, client relations, financial performance and business plan.
