We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team.
The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance. This position requires a highly organized and safety-minded professional to ensure that the organization is in compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of environmental remediation, earthwork, and the ability to interpret safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures to reduce risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Conduct risk assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks
Monitor and track safety compliance
Develop safety training programs and provide safety training to personnel
Create safety reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvement
Provide guidance and support to management in all matters related to health and safety
Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, including HAZWOPER, EM-385-1-1, and OSHA
Work with stakeholders to ensure organizational safety goals are met.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in a safety-related role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, including HAZWOPER, EM-385-1-1, BCSP, CHST, and OSHA
Experience in environmental remediation and earthwork projects
Ability to interpret safety regulations and develop safety policies and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven track record in developing and delivering safety training programs
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
OSHA, USACE, and First Aid certifications
