Located in the Houston, TX area, we are a long standing geotechnical engineering & environmental consulting firm founded in the 1950s that is 100% Employee-Owned!  

The Project Manager will oversee and manage projects related to environmental regulations and permitting processes. This role involves ensuring that projects comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations while effectively communicating with stakeholders and leading project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans for environmental compliance and permitting initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and compliance issues.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to facilitate permitting processes and maintain compliance.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and permits related to environmental projects.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in environmental compliance and permitting.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk assessment methodologies and their application in environmental projects.
  • Strong technical writing skills for preparing reports and documentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management.
