We are currently looking for a SALES ENGINEER ( With a P.E. or E.I.T. designation) with a background in Civil Engineering and ideally building/plumbing products, for key role supporting business development efforts and sales teams with technical sales support throughout the Greater Chicago Metro area.
Regular onsite work with clients/customers will include collaboration with contractors, consulting engineers, municipal engineering departments, and regional governments to qualify our various products/product lines for use on upcoming large projects and general usage within the region.
Utilizing your Engineering experience and knowledge, you will work with team members on all sides, to ensure correct design, specification, and application of our complete product line within various applications including municipality needs, and and golf course, and other irrigation application sectors.
Deliver technical presentations to municipalities and municipal engineering departments and other leaders, contracted, or consulting engineers and decision makers on various projects.
We are looking for those with the following MINUMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
3. Interest/Experience in working in a customer facing, Business development capacity, with the ability to communicate complex engineering data and concepts to recipients at all levels ( of engineering info understanding).
Self driven, organized, motivated Engineers with a strong interest in becoming a key player in a successful, historically fast-growing sales region, supporting both company sales targets and their own personal earning and production goals, are desired.
This is a role that does NOT require being ONSITE at any of OUR manufacturing facilities, but will be traveling and on the road in the Chicago Market, visiting customers ONSITE, daily and regularly, so a comfort with being on the road and with daily, local/regional travel is a must.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with an ability/desire to work with an call upon municipalities, local government organizations, parks, and other sites in the area/region is needed for this role.

For this role, the salary being offered is in the $120K annual range, with an 'on target' total earnings ballpark expectation, if hitting targets, in the $160K range, give or take, depending on territory sales performance.
