Who you are:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in mechanical design
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks
Proficiency in FEA and other analytical tools
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and materials science.
Familiarity with aerospace standards, regulations, and certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA)
Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration
Experience in DFM process & improvements including fixation, work instructions and training.
What you will be doing:
Design, analyze, and develop aerospace components and systems, including structures, mechanisms, and assemblies, using CAD and CAE tools
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings, adhering to industry and company standards
Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to validate designs under various operating conditions
Develop test plans and procedures to validate the performance and durability of mechanical components
Analyze test data and optimize designs based on performance outcomes
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate risks in the design process
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
Communicate design intent and present technical information clearly to stakeholders and customers
Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure that components meet required specifications
