Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role is crucial to the success of our construction projects, from renovations to ground-up builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze blueprints and other project documents to identify project costs
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate estimates
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess conditions
- Monitor project budgets and provide updates as necessary
- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain a database of historical costs and benchmarks for future projects
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
