Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring all aspects of the project requirements are met. The role involves analyzing project documents, performing site visits, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver comprehensive bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
Review project plans and specifications to identify project requirements.
Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project needs.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop accurate bids.
Develop bid proposals and design/build proposals for electrical systems.
Perform take-offs from blueprints and contract documents to calculate material and labor costs.
Communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials.
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in estimates and proposals.
Utilize estimating software, such as Accubid, to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including security systems, communication systems, and fire alarm systems.
Familiarity with cost estimating methodologies and techniques.
Experience with bid proposals and design/build proposals.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Proficiency in estimating software, such as Accubid.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Background check required.
