We are a premier automation and controls company that has been around since the 1900s. We are seeking a motivated electrical engineer, looking to make an impact within our company. We provide services ranging from Automation Solutions, Control system upgrades & conversions, Data Acquisition Systems, Instrumentation, Motion Control, Power Distribution, Process Control, Robotics, Retrofit equipment and Systems, Wireless Communications. The Electrical Engineer will design and develop electrical systems used in a wide range of industries. You will need to have a strong understanding of PLCs/HMIs instrumentation, AC Drives & Motors, Coordinated Drive Systems, Robotics and SCADA.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble, test, troubleshoot and modify electrical systems
Install and maintain electrical equipment
Analyze and troubleshoot any issues with electrical systems
Write, modify, and debug programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Work with HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)
Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that systems are functioning correctly
Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.
Provide technical support to staff and customers regarding electrical systems
Create and implement safety procedures for all electrical systems
Involved in the development of new methods to improve product quality and automation.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
At least 5 years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer
Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
Familiarity with AutoCAD software
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to travel within western PA and surrounding area to perform field work and service customers. Local travel within the Greater Pittsburgh metro area will be frequent.
