The Craft Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recruiting skilled craftworkers for various construction projects. S/he will collaborate with hiring managers and business unit leaders to understand their staffing needs and create recruitment strategies and networking pipelines to attract qualified craft workers such as laborers, carpenters, finishers, operators, etc. . Additionally, the Craft Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for conducting interviews, assessing candidates' technical skills and experience, and coordinating onboarding processes for new hires.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Craft Acquisition Specialist will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Partners with the operations team to identify staffing needs and align recruiting strategies with project requirements and workforce demands
Develops and executes recruitment strategies to attract top craft talent across various trades (e.g., carpenters, electricians, laborers, masons)
Attends career events- schools, military bases and local outreach sources
Maintains a black book that is comprehensive network of skilled construction craft workers, including keeping detailed records and ensuring up-to-date contact information for potential candidates
Conducts pre-screening interviews and coordinates interviews for qualified candidates
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years related recruitment experience or 4 years prior experience in recruitment, preferably in construction or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in both languages
Strong proficiency with Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong proficiency with recruiting job boards/platforms such as LinkedIn, indeed, etc
