DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties of the Associate Attorney are to represent clients in legal matters either independently or under the supervision of one or more shareholders or a senior associate, including:
-Provides effective legal consultation, services and advice to clients.
-Represents clients in state and federal court and agency litigation/proceedings, at a level consistent with his or her level of experience.
-Prepares all legal documents necessary for the effective representation of clients. Including, but not limited to, memoranda, legal briefs, opinion letters, and/or general correspondence.
-Maintains excellent working knowledge of substantive law, state and federal judicial systems, including local court rules and procedures.
-Some travel required, occasionally for extended periods of time.
MUST HAVES:
-3+ years of civil litigation experience to represent clients in legal matters
-Juris Doctor
-Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, decision-makers, consultants and counsel
-Ability to work under strenuous and stressful conditions and be able to effectively respond to client, office, and court needs on short notice when requested.
-Ability to effectively research and analyze legal issues and formulate creative responses.
