Position Overview
The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the billing processes within a law firm, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective collections, and optimal management of accounts receivable. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the firm by managing billing operations and providing exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the billing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing of clients.
• Coordinate collections efforts to ensure timely payments and reduce outstanding receivables.
• Supervise billing staff and provide training on best practices in billing and collections.
• Review and resolve any discrepancies in client invoices or payments.
• Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure all billable hours are captured accurately.
• Prepare regular reports on billing and collections performance for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and collections, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong knowledge of billing software and accounts receivable processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
